TALLINN, Aug 28, BNS – The presidents of three countries will meet Thursday in Tallinn in order to discuss the situation caused by the Georgian crisis.
A spokesman for the Estonian president told BNS that Presidents Toomas Hendrik Ilves of Estonia, Lech Kaczynski of Poland and Valdis Zatlers of Latvia would take part in the meeting.
Participation of the Lithuanian head of state Valdas Adamkus is not yet clear due to his close domestic program.
DPA reported Piotr Kownacki, deputy secretary-general of the Polish president’s office, as saying that formation of a joint position Kaczynski would like to present at the European Council on Monday in Brussels could be discussed at the meeting.
The presidents of Estonia, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine as well as Latvian Prime Minister Ivars Godmanis recently visited Tbilisi in order to jointly express solidarity with Georgia after it had fallen victim to aggression.
