“Boston and the State of Massachusetts are a hub for technology and education on the east coast, hundreds of Estonians work here. The Honorary Consulate will bring consular services closer to them and will also serve as a local contact point for stronger cooperation” said Ambassador Kaljurand. “For instance we would like to strengthen ties with local universities, especially in the fields of IT and cyber security” she added.
Honorary Consul Anne-Reet Annunziata is a nutrition expert and consultant. She has Master’s degrees from the universities of Boston and Tufts as well as a doctorate from Tufts University. She has advised Estonian Government institutions and businesses, collaborated with Tartu University and conducted a UNICEF study on the health and nutrition of children in Estonia.
Estonia has 14 Honorary Consulates and 15 Honorary Consuls in the United States.
