Foreign Minister Urmas Paetexpressed condolences to Secretary of State of the United States of AmericaHillary Clinton over the attack on US diplomats in Libya that resulted in thedeath of the ambassador and three foreign service employees.
“I convey my profoundcondolences to the loved ones of those who died in this tragic act ofviolence,” the foreign minister stated in his letter of condolences. “Ourthoughts are with you at this difficult time,” he added.
Foreign Minister Paet statedthat Estonia sharply condemns the armed attack on the US diplomats. “Attackingthe diplomatic representation and diplomats of another country is unacceptableand cannot possibly be justified,” he said.
