Global Alliance for the Two State Solution
Statement delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Ms Minna Liina Lind

It is clear that we must redouble our joint peace efforts and encourage Israeli and Palestinian leaders to move towards mutually acceptable agreements.
We need an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The suffering of civilians, including children is absolutely heartbreaking. The confirmation of famine should serve as another stark wake-up call. It is vital that the UN and humanitarian partners have access and operate safely in Gaza in line with international humanitarian law.
Estonia has provided humanitarian assistance through international humanitarian organizations. Estonian Refugee Aid is also providing food aid to several hospitals in Gaza City to support both patients and healthcare workers there.
Estonia believes that a genuine two-state solution, grounded in international law and UN resolutions, remains the only viable path to a just and durable peace. Both peoples deserve the right to live in secure, sovereign states, side by side, free from violence and fear. We have endorsed the New York declaration on the two-state solution and hope it will give renewed momentum to its implementation. We will continue to support the Palestinian Authority and its reform agenda.
The task before us is immense, but not insurmountable.
