On Sunday, the 25th of March, the victims of mass deportations of the 25th of March 1949 by the Soviet communist regime were commemorated with the candle lighting ceremonies at the Embassy of Estonia and at the Memorial of Victims of Communism. The representatives of the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Embassies, Joint Baltic National Committee, Estonian American National Committee and Estonian Washington Society participated.
